CHRISTMAS CANDLES

Every Thanksgiving I prepare a little "pre Christmas" basket for all the women who are at our home for dinner.  This year is no exception.  So today off to the $1 store I went and found these battery operated candles.  With the help of my wonderful Big Shot (Gotta' have one and what a great Christmas present. Find it at my on-line store http://www.jhogan.stampinup.net/ ), the Snowflakes Set #2 Sizzlits, and Basic Rhinestones I was able to turn these "lifeless" candles into a thing of beauty!!  Don't they cast a beautiful glow.  I can't wait to add one to each basket.

The Rhinestones catch the light during the day.

Then they cast a soft light to any
room in the house in the evening!

Next will be gift tags to add to my basket.  I know they will be appreciated when wrapping all those presents.  Of course I will tuck a few chocolates in to help with the stress!!

Stamping is my passion, being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is my is my  business!  If you want to share your love of stamping...join my team of Bluebonnet Stampers!!! Now is the time...for only $87.50 (until November 30th) you can enjoy all the benefits offered by Stampin' Up!

October Club Week Tuesday 12th and Friday 15th

Club week is approaching and I have been creating cards all week.  How do I ever choose which ones to do...well I'm not this time.  Fortunately we have two months to make beautiful fall cards and that is just what we are going to do.  Here is a preview for the next two months on what you can expect unless of course I come across something I like better!!!  I love casing cards and then sharing them with you.  It's hard to give credit because I've looked at so many and combined so many but I thank all the women who have shared their talent.

If you live in the Fort Worth area, you are welcome to come to any of the clubs offered.  I only ask if you are not a club member, please E-mail me so I will have kits prepared.  You can get all the details at http://www.jhogan.stampinup.net/  on where and when we meet.  Come prepared to have the time of your life!!!  We do have fun.

We will make two of these cards this month and two next month.  What a wonderful way to show someone how much they mean to you.  In the foreground is the ever popular treat you will receive when you come to club.  It's also an idea of something yourself can make and give away!!

Little Blessings Workshop

This is the second in our series of workshops...Little Blessings.  We have so many in people in our lives that we love and appreciate and this is the best time of year to recognize them.  What better way to do that than  by making something special just for them!  We will have an array of items you can choose from to "make and take."  It is so hard to narrow the selections to a few because I'm still coming up with ideas.  However the picture below gives you a preview of what you can expect when you come.   Check out the calendar of event at http://www.jhogan.stampinup.net/  for more details.  The class fee is $5.00.  Each item is individually priced from $1.00-$5.00.  Space is limited so please E-mail me ASAP to reserve your spot.  Ooooh did I fail to mention snacks and DOOR PRIZES!!!  You won't be dissappointed.

This is only a sample of the items that are available to create.  Don't be left out on this workshop.  There's more to come!!!

Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping

World Card Making Event

What a great time we had at my house on Saturday celebrating World Card Making Day.  This is the first time I have hosted this event and it was a smashing success!!!  The room was filled with quiet moments (everyone was working intently), while other times filled with roaring laughter (sharing funny, funny stories).  The time flew by but everyone had to get home in time for the UT/OU game!!!  We all accomplished so much.  I even got some cards completed that have been in my studio for months.  Now my family and friends will start receiving cards again.  We will be getting together later in the month for a UFO party.  The concept will be the same...completing UnFinished Objects or creating new ones.  Here are some pictures to show you what a good time we had.

These were the quiet moments.  Working intently

These are some of my completed card projects.

Check out the calendar of events to see what's coming up.  Need supplies?  Shop 24/7 on line.  It's such a convenience.  Questions?  Please E-mail me.  Live in the Fort Worth area?  Come by during club week.  Just let me know by sending an E-mail so I will have a kit prepared for you.  Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping...

Retreat Cards

Here are the cards I made at the Demonstrator Retreat.  I usually don't work well in groups so I was very proud of myself to stay focused and complete these three cards.  I'm normally walk around and look at what everyone else is making.  This time everyone was looking at what I was making!!!

I loved designing my own DSP to make this card

I love the watercolor technique.  Marilyn Young designed
this card and gave us a watercolor class

Here is another card with my original DSP.
I love these colors.

If you live in the Fort Worth area, please feel free to join us during club week.  We will be making cards using these beautiful fall colors.  Check out my calendar of events for dates and E-mail me for all the details.

This past weekend several demonstrators got together for our first retreat.  I cannot tell you how much fun we had stamping, eating, laughing, watching chick flicks, staying up late and eating!!!  We stayed at the most awesome craft house.  But I will let the pictures tell the story.  Tomorrow I will post some of the projects I completed.

Wonderful work space wouldn't you say.  Everyone had their own table.  I love to spread out!!!

September Club Projects

Here are the projects for this month's card clubs

The "Creepy Crawly Spider" uses the new spider web embosslit folder.  It's also a great way to show how to use up your scraps to make a card.  The spooky eyes make it the cutest!  A fun card to send!

The "Greeting Kids" stamp set is one we will use a lot during the holidays.  Here is the little girl all dressed up in her witch's cape/hat perched on top a pumpkin!  What little girl wouldn't love to receive this card!

"Come to Bethlehem" is the second in a series of Christmas cards for the Stamp-A-Stack event.  It is a beautiful card telling a Beautiful Story!  When you participate in this event you will have all your cards ready to address, stamp, and mail by mid November!!!  What a relief that would be.

If you are not a club member but would like to make these projects, please E-mail me before September 14th for further details.  Making cards with friends (new or old) is a FUN way to spend a morning or evening.

SU Coming to Fort Worth

How exciting that Fort Worth was chosen to host the Stampin'Up Regional Conference this year!!  More than 500 demonstrators will be at the convention center downtown on Friday/Saturday, September 10/11.  One of our very own ... Sharon Cheng ... will be a presenter.  She will demonstrate several projects.  Those of you who are planning to attend one or all of the upcoming fall workshops will reap the benefits of her presentation!  Another favorite is the card swap.  Many of the demonstrators participate in this event and which helps us to broaden club card ideas.  Here is a picture of mine.  It's a good possibility this will be one of the October card projects.  It features the French Foliage stamp set.  It uses a unique technique.  Hope you like it!

Be sure to check our the website http://www.jhogan.stampinup.net/ for a complete listing of the upcoming events.  All of the club meetings and workshops are posted there.  Thanks for dropping by and feel free to leave a comment.

Labor Day/Blake's B-day Party

Today is the end of swim season...the pool officially closes!!!  However, their are a few "Polar Bears" in our family that still like to swim .  We also celebrated Blake's 11th birthday this weekend and I wanted to share the cute football card I made for him.  Of course the paper clip held his B-day money.  It's so fun to customize cards for the ones you give them to.   He did mention the clip board looked like the one his coach uses!!!
