Retreat Cards

Here are the cards I made at the Demonstrator Retreat.  I usually don't work well in groups so I was very proud of myself to stay focused and complete these three cards.  I'm normally walk around and look at what everyone else is making.  This time everyone was looking at what I was making!!!

I loved designing my own DSP to make this card

I love the watercolor technique.  Marilyn Young designed
this card and gave us a watercolor class

Here is another card with my original DSP.
I love these colors.

If you live in the Fort Worth area, please feel free to join us during club week.  We will be making cards using these beautiful fall colors.  Check out my calendar of events for dates and E-mail me for all the details.

Demonstrator Retreat

This past weekend several demonstrators got together for our first retreat.  I cannot tell you how much fun we had stamping, eating, laughing, watching chick flicks, staying up late and eating!!!  We stayed at the most awesome craft house.  But I will let the pictures tell the story.  Tomorrow I will post some of the projects I completed.

Wonderful work space wouldn't you say.  Everyone had their own table.  I love to spread out!!!

September Club Projects

Here are the projects for this month's card clubs

The "Creepy Crawly Spider" uses the new spider web embosslit folder.  It's also a great way to show how to use up your scraps to make a card.  The spooky eyes make it the cutest!  A fun card to send!

The "Greeting Kids" stamp set is one we will use a lot during the holidays.  Here is the little girl all dressed up in her witch's cape/hat perched on top a pumpkin!  What little girl wouldn't love to receive this card!

"Come to Bethlehem" is the second in a series of Christmas cards for the Stamp-A-Stack event.  It is a beautiful card telling a Beautiful Story!  When you participate in this event you will have all your cards ready to address, stamp, and mail by mid November!!!  What a relief that would be.

If you are not a club member but would like to make these projects, please E-mail me before September 14th for further details.  Making cards with friends (new or old) is a FUN way to spend a morning or evening.

SU Coming to Fort Worth

How exciting that Fort Worth was chosen to host the Stampin'Up Regional Conference this year!!  More than 500 demonstrators will be at the convention center downtown on Friday/Saturday, September 10/11.  One of our very own ... Sharon Cheng ... will be a presenter.  She will demonstrate several projects.  Those of you who are planning to attend one or all of the upcoming fall workshops will reap the benefits of her presentation!  Another favorite is the card swap.  Many of the demonstrators participate in this event and which helps us to broaden club card ideas.  Here is a picture of mine.  It's a good possibility this will be one of the October card projects.  It features the French Foliage stamp set.  It uses a unique technique.  Hope you like it!

Be sure to check our the website http://www.jhogan.stampinup.net/ for a complete listing of the upcoming events.  All of the club meetings and workshops are posted there.  Thanks for dropping by and feel free to leave a comment.

Labor Day/Blake's B-day Party

Today is the end of swim season...the pool officially closes!!!  However, their are a few "Polar Bears" in our family that still like to swim .  We also celebrated Blake's 11th birthday this weekend and I wanted to share the cute football card I made for him.  Of course the paper clip held his B-day money.  It's so fun to customize cards for the ones you give them to.   He did mention the clip board looked like the one his coach uses!!!
