HAPPY NEW YEAR

It was glorious to have a few weeks off to focus on family and friends but I'm excited about gearing up for the new year.  Along with my stamp clubs, I'm offering some exciting classes and workshops during the first quarter of the year!  Check on the 'Calendar of Events' icon on the side bar and see all the events offered now.  I'm sure I will add more classes during February and March (as ideas "pop" into my head). 

I know the "Junk Journal" is one class I have in mind but I haven't set a date yet.  I love mine and have added so many cool things to it during the holidays (mostly wonderful recipes).  I also put many of my vintage recipes cut from old newspapers and magazines in the pocket pages.  So I know you are going to want to create one for your own small treasures!

So be sure to check back often to see club projects and more.  Remember don't forget to check out the Calendar of Events.  I would love for you to join me in the special classes and workshops if you live in the area.

Blake's 6th Grade Band Concert

Am I a proud Grammy???  Oh yes I am!!!  Here are a few pics of my precious Blake playing his trombone in his FIRST ever Christmas Concert.  Never has he picked up an instrument until he enrolled in the 6th grade band in August.  They were awesome and adorably funny.  Yes, I was on the FRONT row.  Had to take pics with my phone though so not too great but I wanted to share with my friends what I enjoy most when NOT stamping!!!

The director gave permission to take close up pics before the concert started.

I wish you could see how red his face was while blowing that horn.  He was playing his heart out!!!

Yes, all the club orders have been delivered or picked up for 2011!!!  And look what they found inside.  Becky Roberts is such an inspiration to me and many, many others.  Because of her inspiration, I have been putting little "happy" thank-yous in each of my orders this year.  It's such a great way to let my friends how much I appreciate their support each month.  Thanks Becky for the tip--I've loved doing it and I think my girls have loved it too!!

THANKSGIVING DAY

I hope all of of you had as lovely a Thanksgiving as the Hogans!!!  Here are a few pictures to share.  How blessed Jim and I are to have two wonderful boys and their families.  We spent two days with Jim and Meredith and 5 precious boys (not quiet!) while John, Rhonda, Seth, and Bella visited her family in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

ADVENT CALENDAR

A fun way to build excitement about a "Big Day" is the countdown.  This is a chance for you to get in on the fun.  If you are in the Fort Worth area, we will be making this adorable Advent Calendar on Thursday, Novembe17th and Saturday, November 19th.  E-mail me for more details.

Falling In Love with FALL

CLUB THANK-YOUS

I love putting little "thank-you" cards or "thank-you" 3-Ds in customer order bags.  It shows them just how special they are to me.  I also try to stay with the club theme cards we did and these are no exception!  I have to say I cased this directly from an amazing demonstrator Becky Roberts...thanks Becky.  They will find the "thank-you" reply on the back.  So if they want to stamp a "Spooky" note on the front and attach it to a card...it's all ready to be mailed to a favorite little gobblin'!!!  Hope you like these cuties...

CHRISTMAS STAMP-A-STACK

This is one of the most popular events of the year.  This year there are 6 designs of which you will make 3 each.  A total of 18 cards!  That will really "jump start" your Christmas card stash.  You may RSVP from this site by simply clicking on the calendar icon in the left column, move to the October Calendar of Events, and use the RSVP option.  This is very important as the class is limited to 8 in the morning session and 8 in the evening session.  It will be first come first serve!!!  So don't delay!!!    Here are the samples...

Bluebonnet Stampers Team Meeting

Tonight is our Bluebonnet Stampers Team Meeting.  We will be making a card using the Gently Falling stamp set.  Have you seen it in the Holiday Mini Catalog???  It's a keeper in my book!  The Spice Cake Designer Paper is the perfect companion for this set.  I love it.  We will be water coloring using the "baby wipes" technique on the leaves.  This two-step stamp set lends itself beautifully to this technique.  So watch out...you will be seeing this technique and stamp set used alot during the Fall season.

I can't wait to introduce this to my group!  I love Fall colors and turning those colors into cards. 

  We will also be celebrating with Stephanie her promotion to Senior Associate.  Here's a picture of her special surprise gift!

Button, button who's got the button!!!  Don't you just love using buttons on your projects.  They add such wonderful color and dimension.  So I decided to give Stephanie a box of Designer Buttons (Brights)!!  These colors will be great for Fall and Christmas projects.  Congratulations Stephanie!!!

Craftin' for a Cause

This past Saturday was our Craftin' for a Cause event.  We had a blast!!  It was a day filled with food, fun, and fellowship.  There were lots of surprises too!!  It was such a success we are already planning ahead for a spring event.    Here are a few pictures to share...

 Thanks Central Christian Church for allowing us to enjoy a delightful day that helped raise money for "Meal on Wheels!!"  If you didn't get to participate this time, sure hope you will plan to join us in the spring!!

Halloween Treats

Club week is one of the favorite weeks of the month.  That's when I get together with girlfriends and stamp!  And we are entering my most favorite time of the year...THE HOLIDAYS!!  Here are the cards we will make this month.  It's all about Halloween Treats.

Mother's Day Gift

I've been busy making these cute Mother's Day gifts for my club girls, sisters, daughter-in-laws, friends, and my very own Mother!  What fun it is to give little "I love yous" to the ones you love!

  These are hand sanitizer holders.  Don't they make a cute presentation?

This is a side view.  The measurement is a 2-1/4"x12" strip and scored at 1/2",1-3/4",3-14/16", 4-13/16",

7-7/16", 8-7/16", and 9-7/16 (these score lines may need to be adjusted to the bottle purchased).  It has a velcro closure.
